Take a look at Treadwright.com; great buy, they were running a free shipping promotion too. Here is a picture of a set on my 99Disco2 http://i1377.photobucket.com/albums/...psrjqm22n3.jpg

Took the D2 for the 2 yearly CT (Controle Technique) today. Bit nervous 'cos I haven't completed all the work I wanted to on the old truck but it passed with flying colors. The owner guy remarked it was an excellent truck well looked after and in good condition.

When I looked at some of the rusty 'junk' being submitted for CT I realised it was amongst the best if not the best.

Yeah those look really good! Not over aggressive but still cool looking.
So basically our disco is the weekend fun, dog hauler, shooting, ect truck... I'm surrounded by jeep and dodge truck guys which is fine, we just wanted something different. I want it to look like a true offroad truck but at the same time retaining the easiness on the road. I'll post some pics soon... I've got to fix a few more more things on it (exhaust leak at header to down pip, sm oil leak)
How the F do u get the 3 nuts off the down pipe to swap the gasket? Or am I looking at taking off the header?

Oh and like I said the previous owner botched the audio install BAD
If anyone ever has any questions on audio, I can certainly try to help... I'm newer to land rovers but I've gone through a few of them and helped w some audio installs... I'll def post pics of my before and after

Thanks guys!

Took on the task of replacing the driver side door actuator. It took me about an hour to get the old one out. Land Rover did not make it easy for me with that window rail in the way. After many scrapes on my hands, I was able to get it out and the new one in. Now, all my door locks work!

Next up: fixing the seat belt height adjuster.

I got the Die-Hard battery replaced free of charge. It only lasted 3 years. Something tells me they do not make them as good as they use to.

added a roof rack from amazon. Quality is great for $100. I wish it was wider, but length is perfect for the front roof rails. Now I have some place to put camping gear when there are 6 people in the car and a base for a LED light bar.

Finally got around to dealing with my oil leaks. cleaned out the oil sump and replaced the gasket. went with mobil1 0w40 synthetic for winter and so far the leak seems to be controlled.
I dont know if anyone else has had this issue but if your battery dies when the car is locked you cannot get in at all. I disconnected my battery and locked the doors with my tools in the car overnight and had to have the back door popped by a locksmith.
Next i will be running a jumper extension under my bumper so if my battery dies i can get in.

That's a pretty good idea, I had just used the main starter terminal in the past.

Got my front bumper backed into by an international student on campus tonight. He wouldn't give me his insurance because he said my rover was "a $h!+ vehicle so it shouldn't matter". Officers had to be called to straighten him out a bit. Hopefully insurance will write me a check to put toward a new one.
I'd like to maybe pay the difference and go with another ARB. I don't rock crawl and approach angles aren't a large concern. Wildlife however is another story and my other ARB has proven itself against a couple deer and a few coyotes.
