What did you do with your DII today?
Today I pulled the running boards my wife wants off the 2004 parts truck to find them all rotted out. I guess 170K miles in Boston will do that. I also started pulling the transfer case shifter, next the transfer case.
A few days ago on our '02 I replaced all four rotors and pads, both front calipers, track bar and put on the summer rims and tires.

FINALLY got the Rover back with a new head to replace old warped head. Took forever from an independent Rover mechanic who ended up in some financial trouble in the midst of my swap. 8 months later and he was kind enough to charge me zero on labor due to the circumstances. I think he was ready to be done with my truck, as it came back with a whiny idler pulley. Likely a combination of being high mileage (113k miles) along with not running for so long. I'll be swapping the pulley myself, as soon as the fan clutch spanner tool and new pulley arrive. Glad to have the Rover back in the driveway!!
My car was broken into again, thankfully only about 50 bucks worth of cd's, a phone charger, my empty backpack and few odds and ends were taken. It could have been a lot worse.
Though, now the window won't go back up and the starter is not engaging (was working fine last time I moved it sunday night). It just whirs and until I let it go. No cranking or anything. I am thoroughly stumped. I'm going to have it towed about 4 miles to my friends shop, hopefully its something with the starter and not the ring gear.

The custom bumper and winch install is finally complete. The bumper could have a more aggressive approach angle, but I wanted to keep the fog lamps. We also made sure to incorporate the fog lamp adjusters into the bumper as well as the headlight washers.
Also completed 2" TF lift, Columbia Rover fuel tank guard, TF diff guards.
Next project.... an off-road trailer. Almost ready for the NW Overland Rally and WABDR this summer:
Backcountry Discovery Routes summer.

Drove from Sanford, NC to the North End of Carolina beach. Almost got stuck first going out because I forgot to put it in low range but after that all good. It's amazing just how good this truck is, I am on General Grabber ST's that need to be replaced and completely stock. Can't wait till I add my TreadWrights!
Flushed radiator, new hoses, 180 thermostat, coolant reservoir cap and of course fresh green stuff. Took much longer than it should have... but that was mainly due to me using the spring clamps which were an absolute PIA in some spots. I did replace with nice made in USA worm clamps at the heater hose, which was the hardest one to take off as it was basically melted on.
*2 main hoses and thermostat were Genuine, the rest of the hoses were All Makes. I ended up not replacing the throttle body hose, although I have it. (just got late and it actually looked ok to me). Also didn't bother with the hard coolant lines for the same reason, but have the shorter one on hand and plan to replace the longer one that runs along the radiator with 5/16" fuel line when needed.
All in all a good day for the Disco and happy to have it done.
Still trying to find the time to get my lift installed.
