What did you do with your DII today?
I got new tires installed. Yokohama Geolander AT/S.
Sames tires that were on it when I bought her. I was really happy with them. The tires on it had roughly 85k miles on them & still weren't completely bad.I bent a tie rod & knocked my alignment out of whack & wore the tires pretty uneven.
Next up - New plugs & wires
Brakes & rotors
Ultragauge install.

Tonight I was pretty lame and only installed my stainless license plate frames with the Land Rover logo and British flag emblems on them. Looks pretty nice. A few more external mods and then it is interior time.
I have been running my 01 disco 2SD base model like crazy all week. I did a recent service that included front prop shaft, all fluids in motor, trans, diffs, etc. this is my company truck and it is in service almost daily going up terrible hills and back here in Northern California. I must say that I love the base model, no sunroofs, no leather, no air suspension and small diameter wheels with larger tires over the road wheel package. I am confident the sd is the right one for me. It's a solid truck and just wish it had roll up windows and manual transmission.
I ordered myself a BajaRack for my Disco today
Bought stuff to mount my Hi-Lift and a shovel and axe to the rack.
Coming also are 4 lights (had to go with the cheapo ones to start. I couldn't cover the $107/light cost for a set of Hella Rallye 4000s yet
) and a DI 3 switch carrier that'll go in place of my ash tray to wire them.
Also coming are a set of Wedco jerry cans, one for gas, one for water, and the Expedition Exchange holders to mount them.
Ooooh this is gonna be good!
It's gonna be like Christmas all over again when the big UPS truck comes.
Hehehehe

I keep on debating whether I want to get a roof rack or not. I have been looking at the Voyager, even going so far as to talk with Andy about deals for the racks. I cant really justify a rack other than to hold a surfboard, and maybe a kayak. I just feel like I could spend 1200+ on something else for the D2 or for other stuff!
I'm really trying to figure out a way to rig up a wakeboard tower rack for my roof rack. Something that I can strap my snowboards in when I go up with a few people. Like this but on the sides of the roof rack:
- Installed gray t-stat from A.B. with Peak Global
- New front Weather Tech mats
- Replaced shifter wood grain base with factory black rubber
- Lucky 8- G4 front light guards (on order)
