What did you do with your DII today?
Thanks! The downhill looks a lot harder in person than on video somehow. It's steep, slightly side hill, full of loose rock, and has sections where the suspension is more than fully articulated...evidenced by the front wheel coming off the ground going downhill! Fun stuff

Used TurtleWax headlight cleaner/polish on both front headlights. Took all the yellowing away and cleared the lights up quite a bit! Just hope it stays that way. Next project today is trying to remove that stubborn brake dust from front passenger rim then touch up the other 3 rims.
Just received my order from Atlanticbritish. New wipers front and rear (now installed but now I need replacement passenger side wiper arm), and the Rotoflex Coupler kit for the rear shaft. Still waiting for my front propshaft and new rear u-joint to come in the mail before I begin tacking both shafts. Hopfully my vibrating problem holds out long enough

I backed up at an intersection.
And hit a Nissan Leaf that was so so close behind me.
I did not see it.
Damage to my Disco II - right tail light in the bumper - smashed.
Bumper near the tail light broken a little more.
Damage to my Discovery II - cost of a
used bumper - maybe if I decide to fix it.
Right tail light - $40 to $60.
Damage to Nissan Leaf - 1.5 year old car -
front fender
cover for charging.
Estimated $3K and up (from my visual).
Happy days for me.

No...just haven't committed the funds to a cdl or any locker as of yet. I will if tc ever becomes inoperable, but as long as a quick reset with the abs amigo works, I'll probably continue as is.
Looks like it works pretty effectively for you.
Helped a friend buy a D2! Its an 04 with lockers front and rear, a roof rack and tent, pure water filtration system, fridge and freezer and lots of other goodies! It was a really nice, I wish I could have bought it, but the wife said that one Discovery is enough.
Thanks, it does work pretty well. Once you learn how to keep the throttle in the sweet spot for the tc, it works well. Too little or too much throttle will render the tc useless, but there is a sweet spot where it is extremely effective. I wheel with jeeps, and I can definitely say that my disco without a CDL is more capable in hill climbs and technical rocks than a wrangler with CDL and no lockers, which is what I drive with the most. My friend with a rear locker and CDL usually has less front wheel spin climbing hills than I do, but he hasn't made it anywhere I couldn't go, and I've taken mine through things he decided not to try, so it hasn't been a limiting factor from a capability standpoint. But, I know that if I had the CDL and a locker or two, everything would be smoother and take less skill. It would also give more control breaking down a hill, as it keeps the front and rear brake bias essentially locked. One day ill probably get one, or I'll buy a new rubicon.
