Recovered a 1976 LR 101 FC from a swampy trail. The winch got heavy use, ended up using every recovery strap, 5 d-shackles, and a ****** block to get it out. Then ended up having to winch myself up a hill, then the 101 further up onto the right path.

Cool Beans! Seriously, very cool!

I'm headed into the desert again for the 4th holiday. Just checked all fluids, tires, brakes, etc, etc, etc...

Hooked up trailer to haul up the Buggy. Picking up Mortars and Cakes on the way up. This will be epic! I did this same trip 2 years ago. It's at Weber Resevoir in Nevada. It's an Indian Reservation, so Fireworks are OK.

Waiting on a master cylinder from Paul, so we put a flowmaster on a '03 for a customer today. Sounds nice!

My replacement quarter panel has been sitting around for a couple of years, since I bought it from Drillbit at the Overland Chop Shop. I got tired of looking at the dent in the old one as well as having occasionally refresh the Gorilla Tape, so it was time to swap it out. The size of the panel was intimidating, but I actually managed the whole project by myself. All of the adhesive actually helped hold things in place while I replaced bolts! I split the project into two separate mornings before work - one morning I removed, this morning I replaced. Total time from start to finish was about 3 and 1/2 hours...

I trimmed the lower portion off of the quarter panel to fit my aftermarket rear bumper. Still need to reinstall that and trim and reinstall the fender flare. Other than that, it turned out to be a pretty easy job. There was enough leftover adhesive on the truck and the replacement fender, that I didn't even have to bother with applying more for the install. I can't believe I put it off for this long. I'd easily do this fix again if I had to!

Replaced the expansion tank that had a small crack along its seem with a brand new URO Parts replacement. Also changed all the hose clamps from those POS factory clips to the adjustable screw on ones. Should have changed the clamps around the T-stat while I was at it, but just wanted to get the expansion tank replaced. Drove it around, no issue with leaks, but I'm going to pressure test it tomorrow when I get a chance just to make sure that was the only issue (or the integrity of the new part doesn't make some other part burst!).

I may still just combustion/CO2 check the coolant tomorrow as well, as I found out about the crack after the car had already gotten up to about 240 Degrees, and just want to make sure that there is no headgasket damage. I hope not, as I had just got them done a few months ago.
