I was messing with the door lock actuator this morning and realized something new.
my door handle is already disconnected from the actuator.
when i lock the car(from the remote) i try to open the door manually by putting my hand into the door handle hole and push/pull the metal stick and it doesnt open the door, which is good because the car is locked anyway.
Once I unlock the car(from the remote) i still cant open the door by messing with that stick.
but if I open the door from the inside door handle for once, then i can close the door back and open it from outside from that stick 1000tines in a row without failing once!
I dont get it

This oil pump will self destruct in 3..2..1..
Went to go to church today and the oil pump decided to self destruct. Now comes the fun part of the tear down to see what all is going to have to be replaced. I'm just really glad it happened in my driveway instead of on the highway with my wife and 2yr old in the truck. Funny part was my son has figured out the gas pedal and floored it next thing I know I hear a lot of rattling and have no oil pressure.
By the way I know the problems the 03 has with the pump, if I were to change the front cover with a different model year front cover would that help at all with the problems?

My Landy: drove the family to the local 15 acre corn maze: The Corn Maze | Shryocks Callaway Farms
Landy I am working on for an overheating problem: Troubleshot why the OBD port was not powering my scanner. Pin 16 was only putting out 8.5V. Broke out the RAVE wiring diagram, verified fuse 20 was good, as was fusible link 3 under hood. Dropped the blower motor and opened the 2" diameter wire bundle running behind it along the back of the foot well. Connector C0289 looked ok, but found the scanner came to life as I flexed the wires going to it. I know it's not the "proper" repair, but if I tape it back up in the flexed position, the OBD port works perfectly, so I'm going with easy as opposed to painstakingly tedious to check continuity of each wire. '
This vehicle has been parked in a friend's driveway the past few years, and I suspect a mouse took up residence in the dash from the looks of the blower wheel. Surprisingly don't see any damage to the wiring though. Small Blessings.
Tomorrow I'm going to replace the functional thermostat in mine with a TD5 185* unit, then swap out the Motorad in the basket case with my old functional one to see what, if any, difference that makes.
