What did you do with your DII today?

What do you mean by thermostat location? It's in the factory location.
Sorry, I meant the temperature sensor you mounted after the bleeder T.
My custom temp sensor is mounted to the left of the T (between the T and thermostat) and is always reporting 15-25 degrees lower than UG. A lower number is expected, but its hard to believe the water cools that much from the intake. I might have an air pocket at the intake sensor...
The temps I posted (217-230) are from the Ultragauge.

Yes it is.. was 203F before the engine rebuild (and using a regular 195 tstat) and replacing all the cooling components! Have the 180 stat now. Thankfully I have top hat sleeves, so I'm not super concerned, but I still need to get temps down. Heater is producing great heat... too much even. If I turn off the HVAC, I still get hot air coming out the footwells @ about a "setting 1" fan speed

Did a little wheeling at the state land today. After cruising to Cleveland the day before for an engine...I'd seen enough hard surface roads to last me awhile. Anyhow. The DNR had opened a gate leading down to a boat launch. We found a little side trail leading up hill that went through the woods and took that out. Used CDL after two attempts at the hill with just traction control, but l'm unsure if it wasn't just the amount of momentum or the change in approach that helped us succeed. No matter. Funny stuff. Sorry, no pictures.

Jeff,
Outstanding pics. I visited OR recently and I truly felt like it was home and where I belong. Quite different from our desolate scorched earth.
Btw at 230 degrees I would have been in full panic mode. H ahah.

The lower radiator hose is stone cold, while the return hose to the water pump is very hot (shouldn't they be basically the same after running for 20 mins?), so I'm going to try swapping in a new tstat first, even though this one is brand new...
Whaddayaknow... swapped the genuine grey for a motorad 180 that I bought by accident last year... idle temps down from 221 to 201. 2k rpm from 212 to 199. Probably some air left too, maybe I'll get under 200 idle.
