What did you do with your DII today?

It's alive!
Went ahead and opened the fill plug up and sure enough, there was no fluid drip. Filled the tranny up till a bead of ATF started coming out cold, then started it up and went through all the gears while filling it up till a bead came out again. Thankfully, it moved out of park after that and shifted through gears fine driving around the block. Torqued the fill plug to spec and haven't seen any drips. I read somewhere that after sitting for an extended period of time, more of the fluid will drain into the sump which would explain all that fluid coming out when I checked it. So, looks like I'm back in business, thanks for the tip mollusc!

Trans cooler line blew on the way home tonight. Nearly emptied the trans and... Yep, got on the exhaust and caught on fire. Again. This baby really wants to burn to the ground.
Luckily had a fire extinguisher this time and blew it out without issue. I'm getting a little too used to my land Rover catching on fire.
On the bright side, I've been saying for weeks that it's time to change my trans fluid and filter, so now tomorrow I get to do that on the side of the road.

Dealt with MagPies inability to signal correctly to the left. The PO (or PPO or PPPO) did some weird ****ty trailer wiring and spliced the **** out the rear taillight harnesses. Turns out the left bulb was bad as well as the harness being wired up wrong. Quick check with the multimeter gave me the answers and fixed the wiring. ALL BETTER

Hey, we've all got our problems.
Thanks fully got her filled back up beside the 4 lane today. Been needing to change the filter and fluid for a bit anyway and have been putting it off till nicer weather. She took 9 qts to fill up. Nobody had a filter in stock so I just cleaned the factory mesh filter with brake cleaner.
I immediately left the side of the road and, nope, didn't go home. Instead I drove an hour and a half the opposite direction where there's no cell service to pick up my girlfriend's new Disco! Mine ran like a champ.
The girl's is a 2000 model. She got it for $600 cause it wouldn't start. Put a $70 battery and a $60 crank sensor in it and drove it home, so she's only in it for $730. Runs like a top; smoother running engine than mine. Gotta do the maintenence on it, but it's gonna make her a great driver. Once I smack my old 265/65r18s on it for some more meat, that is.
Crazy the size difference between my truck and a stock one.
