What did you do with your DII today?
Unless of course you fall through the floor
Diagnosed a friends 04 D2 he got for 2K, it's been wrecked (salvage title), and re-painted kinda poorly. It was missing the SAI temp sensor in the radiator so it never built up pressure (huge red flag to me), and he dropped it off saying it ran great. Tried to get it off the trailer and the so called battery was fully dead, had to grab a battery just to get it off the trailer.
Well I grabbed some missing parts under the hood, found the OEM radio wiring completely butchered (after market stuff was completely removed and the OEM AMP was MIA). I will have to splice 20+ wires down by the AMP in order to reconnect an OEM AMP. I removed about 50ft of cheap RCA's from under the seat and carpet. Got a replacement SAI temp sensor installed, filled the system with water (coolant reservoir smelled like pure gas), cranked it up after I fiddled with the broken battery terminal and funky MAF, and it came to life rather poorly, but sadly in less than 2min I had 20+ pounds of pressure and the hoses were rock solid. It's leaking exhaust gases into the coolant very badly. No water in the oil which is good, but it's going to need a HG job for sure. I hope it's not a problem with the block.

Installed Terra Firma steering stabilizer (still waiting for my tie bar and drag link from Rovers North) and removed rear hubs to replace o-rings (both leaking). Need to order o-rings...didn't order them, since I wasn't sure if l'd need hubs...but they are fine and will go back on after lubing them up.

Also finally soldiered the left fog light properly.. Just waitin' for the paint to dry!
