Well, the Discovery I bought had no exhaust ( i knew prior to buying).... bought an 04 donor and pulled the exhaust off to put on the 02...needless to say it has been tough to remove the exhaust. Then finding out there were missing bolts on the manifold to the engine and busted exhaust studs. I pulled both manifolds off to replace the studs and yet again another problem the studs are seized in there. so pulled the manifolds of the donor put new studs in and got everything as good as can be. thankful for the donor right now. Otherwise, I would be in a world of hurt.

 

 

 

What an awesome addition to the truck! Are these located just behind the rear seats? The 04 I just bought came with volume controller there but I have yet to figure out how they work. Seems like you can have your own audio preferences going to each one of the aux plugs? Similar to these

 

the rave tells you all about them. you can't have different output to each side, but you can have different output to them than is going to the main speakers. e.g. they can play the radio if the main speakers are playing a cd.

 

Just moved the old girl day before yesterday, out from under a dead tree. Gotta admit, it makes me sad to see it in this shape. I really hope I can get to working on her soon. I miss it a lot.

Got the Hyundai Purge Valve in. Pretty easy, a bit fiddly, did not want to come unclipped from the pipe in the intake. The clip snapped, but is sealing fine so far. Will need to try and pick one out of a yard.

 

Thanks gents, I certainly will. Hopefully in the next couple months I'll bust into getting the engine out of the donor car, and whatever else I need.
