What did you do with your DII today?

Played with a new device. Thank you, to Best4X4 for giving me the final decision making advice about the icarsoft LR V2. Exactly what l was looking for and is very easy to navigate...yet, l'm still exploring systems. But, so far so good.
So, if there is anyone in the "thumb" area of Michigan that needs some codes read...just give me a shout.
Thanks again Best!
Brian.

I ditched them 5 years ago and never looked back. Every DII I've seen without them looks good to me. But, be prepared for a fight removing the adhesive!

Finally made the time to install threaded-post style 1140CCA battery and connect winch power cables. Added another ground cable that runs down to the block. Lubed and redressed the winch cable. Also removed both rear seats and installed sleeping/storage compartment/platform. Made a modification to the sleeping platform, cut the foldout extention...so that l can only use one side if need be. That way, l can sleep on the passenger side without moving the drivers seat forward...and that way, if l had an emergency...l can hop in the drivers seat and get gone.

Well I finally tracked down the TF HD Front Steering rod (the front one with the steering stabilizer mount on it). I would have installed it over 3 years ago (same time I installed the rear HD Steering Rod), but Lucky8 didn't include the U-Bolts, or the plate to mount the steering stabilizer. I did finally get that, but I just never had time to mess with it. Well along came Hurricane Harvey and my shop was a total disaster and lots of stuff had to get tossed! After the 2018 Hill Country Rover Rally my OEM Steering Rod was complete trash. I looked all over for that TF Front Steering Rod, and actually almost ordered another one today, but I took one last look in my shop and found it. During Harvey it was sadly completely under water so the cheap tie rods it came with were trashed.
I went ahead and removed the OEM one from my Kalahari, and I had a new spare set of LH/RH threaded Tie Rods. Got it all installed and now I'll look into a front end alignment. The Kalahari will be ready for the 2019 Hill Country Rover Rally, and the extra 1inch spacers I installed last week end should help me out on a few obstacles I was dragging my (_!_) on.

I got the rear ones from Arnott Industries (P38 spacer = same as rear D2), then I got the front 1inch spacers from a guy on here that made some. After that I just got some longer bolts and installed them. You install them under the spring perches and you honestly don’t even see them. With the rear it’s easier to just pop the coils out & install the spacers. On the front you can get it to drop far enough that you can slide them under the perch. Took me about 1.5hr and I was taking my time inspecting stuff and watching my kids in the yard.
