Hi, what is this Option B wire? Was this some sort of fix for a known issue? I just bought my first Disco 2 and it seems to have a wire like this outside of the loom as well. Thanks in advance!

Sorted.

I changed my ACE valve block connections to hydraulic fittings instead of the Land Rover O-ring seal type. Much better. Took pics for a write up.

Over the last week, installed the 2'' Terrafirma Medium Duty Suspension kit, Ferodo brake pads, two rear wheel bearings, and upgraded 255/60R18s to Cooper Discoverer 265/65R18s. I flipped the spare tire carrier to hold the bigger tire in the back (a fairly easy job in retrospect). I have about 1/4'' space between the spare and the OEM bumper. All done in the driveway. I got the brakes and suspension from Atlantic British and the tires off Walmart for $150 each and arrived in two days. I think I'm sitting about 3 inches higher at least in the rear (it was sagging) and wow, what a difference in driving experience it made! See below for pics:

Went to the beach (Assateague Island) right after...yep there's a horse perusing the dumpster.

Upgraded from 255/60R18 to 265/65R18 Cooper Discoverers

Visiting its 2nd home after a washdown.

Close up of new tire.

Angry Sad face...

I towed my

Disco II to a paddock because my sister seized 4 out of 8 cylinders driving to "surprise" me at the airport!! Actually not at all totally on her. On me for not having family get maintenance done while I was away in lock downs and so on - COVID circumstances. Sad day though.

I will buy Japanese next time.

That is the first I've ever heard of anyone seizing any, or especially four of eight cylinders in a Rover V8... Please share more details on the exact damage and cause... The only thing I can think of would be driving without oil.
