Went off-roading yesterday with a small group of friends on a well known trail to us but with all our rains it was significantly harder and all of our armor and lockers were put to good use...that said I have a leak somewhere in my rear air locker, hoping its just the solenoid or air line issue. Will post some pics in the trail rides thread later today.

Also picking up a 95 LWB RRC tonight so odds are high my green disco will be for sale in the next couple of months.

Ah the joy of working on a simple SUV. My DS front hub on the on the 258k mile 00 D2 was roaring. Jacked it up and pulled the wheel off at lunch today, went down and pulled the hub and swapped with a new one in two hours this evening. Truck spent its entire life in Charlotte before I got it, not a single bolt rusted, slid right off the axle and out of the spindle. No signs it had ever been off before. I feel sorry for you poor bastards that live up in the land of snow and salt and every part replacement is a battle. .

I drive an old D2 because I prefer to spend my $ on travel, boats, etc. Love it when the inevitable repair is simple and quick, pretty happy she made it to 258k.

Rover On!

Well, you know, normal 3 ft so I don't have to work so hard. I bought a 3/4 drive ratchet set specifically for hub replacements on Discos. Makes it easy.

Camping trip to the headwaters of the Green River - Green River Lakes in Wyoming. Great drive and zero problems!

I know not D2 related but I’m excited. Black accents and flares have to go. Once I sell the basket on the roof I’ve got some proper flares waiting to go on. I’m pretty positive it’s a 25th anniversary lwb as the paint and interior color only came on the anniversary edition. Someone spent good money once upon a time one on a full rover tracks suspension and a lt230 and customs sliders and bumpers. Front bumper will definitely get replaced..
