Absolutely go with the silicone gasket. I did a ton of research and lots of people had problems with the paper gaskets. Also, if you need to remove your t-stat on the road for some reason, you can do so with the silicone but not the paper.
Stickers only recently became available. The sticker company screwed up my first Extinct order (they left off the kiss cut around the image) and I got the first batch at no cost so I am throwing them in with the Inline orders to get rid of them. I am working on a website update that will enable customers to select their sticker preference. Once that is complete I will also offer all previous customers to obtain a free sticker by sending me a SASE. I can't respond to every email request but happy to send one along for folks that want one. Every current order includes an inline thermostats logo sticker and until I run out an Extinct motorsports sticker. Every current Extinct Motorsports order includes a EM sticker, and ever combined order has both.
You can flip the rear tire carrier to fit a larger spare tire. After going through the trouble of flipping I would just recommend starting with the Terrafirma TF499 rear tire carrier or a steel bumper with swing-out tire carrier.
What do you mean by inverted carrier? I'm a newb to these
You can remove the stock carrier and with minor modification you can reinstall it upside down. Takes about 20 minutes and allows you up to a 33" tire. I've flipped quite a few, works great.

No need for modding the carrier, just turn the wiper a bit more upwards.
I started getting some key sticking issues and also having to find the sweet spot to turn on the ignition, so made the decision to replace the ignition barrel with a Lucky8 Ignition Lock Switch Retrofit Kit - price wise was more than half that of Atlantic British. However, they have a great video tutorial which made the installation fairly straightforward. Interestingly, the share bolts had been replaced at some point, though the ignition barrel was original Land Rover
This made the installation quicker - but now have an extra key on the ring!
