Only because I put wheels from a LR4 on my LR3 did I decide I’d put the LR3 wheels on the Disco II. Pretty simple actually with the correct Hub Centric Rings (70.1 to 72.6). Plus lug nuts for a LR3/LR4. Didn’t realize just how much taller the tires are from the LR3. I expected a 1” difference in height, 1 3/4”; at least in my head anyway.
Nothing too exciting, filled up my 258k 2000 D2 this morning, 280 miles on 20 gallons on my 8 Mile Suburban commute for the last few weeks. Stock 16 inch Michelin tires, not a single functioning oxygen sensor on the truck. This thing continues to amaze me

Lol, I don't even remember, been running it like this 2 + years. Once I figured out they either didn't affect mileage or maybe even resulted in an improvement I quit worrying about it.

It would appear not, although you would have to compare it with other members truck but this truck gets a consistent 13 -14 miles per gallon on my daily commute and knocks down 17 and 1/2 on long Highway trips running 70 mph on stock sized Michelin 16 inch tires

nice. So are your o2 sensors disconnected completely ??
Checked fluids, started measuring and making a template for fitting the snorkel that came in the bag of parts we got with the vehicle (some bits missing, including the instruction/fitting book). Then out for a ride up in the peaks with the boys' quad bike in tow.
Typically, if there is no reading from O2...it will default to +25% fueling. If you threw a reader on it, you'd probably see +25% reading on short and long trim trims. Usually short term trims will be bounce between -10% and +10% at steady speeds or idle...on a clean running engine with no other codes.
When l had a bad 02 on my old 03, stripped threads and took a couple days to get a tap, had it plugged off, right bank +25% constant...anyhow...it got about 11.5 mpg...painful...lol.
Checked the mileage on the 04 the last two tanks...getting around 15.5 mpg. Actually pretty happy with that.
