Removed the steering stops from Chloe. She’ll turn on a dime and give you a nickel change now. but the tires will rub. Was going to rig up a 23mm stop but one of the stock steering stops sheared off and left the rest of the bolt in. So I may run her without stops and then take the time to remove the rest of the bolt if it becomes an issue.

Just enjoyed the drive out to the local MTB trails.

Daytoman (or others), other than tire rub, are there any other problems caused by removing the steering stops? I love my Disco, but the turning radius is disappointing. My P38 has a longer wheel base, but turns considerably tighter.

I noticed when I shut the back door that the spare tire was chirping at me . . .

I've been running oversized tires for a few years now and all that off-roading washboard trails have taken their toll. I found a fair amount of cracks around the studs.

1/8th inch steel plate to the rescue! I welded around the studs and around the edges. Rattlecan paint job and back on. Seems solid. We'll see.

I did both my Disco and my wife's Disco at the same time. Fun little project.

Today, my Disco hit a milestone (literally): 80,000 miles.

Finished 450 + miles of off road trip with the club, the Disco decide it was a good time to toss out some codes just to keep me guessing and the left hand exhaust start to leak like crazy 60 mile from home, but as always she got me home. But more importantly I finally got a decent photo of a grizzy about 15 - 20 meter from my disco wandered past our campsite of 14 rovers. Decent sized a bit thin.

Another club member felt he had to point out there was a bear, as I was not seeming to take adequate notice. I saw him just fine ,I just wanted a photo. Hard to get a good shot of grizzy.
