What Land Rover specialist shop, please? Good shops that will still work on our +/- 20-year old trucks deserve a shout out.

Took y little guy fishing today then we picked up some cheap take off tires 265/70/18 (on 2.5" spacers). They aren't the tires I wanted exactly, but the price was right and I've got about 10 things to spend money on for the Rover besides replacing the cracked tires I had. They make my spare tire rack a little harder to reach haha.

Now my wife says I need sliders so she can get in and I need to either do a CDL and/or fix the traction control. Preferably both because I don't think I'll like this open center diff business. Ideally I'd like the front or rear locked as well.
Oh, I also installed my terra firma steering and did a little cut on the bottom sides of the bumper. I think it looks a little better until I can build a new bumper.

Is your truck lifted? Trying to determine the max size tires for my unlifted truck with 20" wheels or 18" wheel. (I have both sets.)

2.5" spacers on the factory 18" wheels. With the LS swap the oil pan was really close to the axle. I had to add 2" tubes to my bump stop pads on the front and I was riding on the bumps. The spacers give me some up travel on the front. I actually liked the look before the spacers. Too bad it wasn't practical with the Chevy engine.

If you end up building a bumper please keep us in the loop. I’d be interested in doing the same, but fabricating isn’t really my forte.

This morning I installed chicken coop floor on the roof rack.
I would have never known about this if that one thread was not necro'ed the other week. All the chicken coops in my area are like little houses and we do not even have real feed stores. I do have one for the front for when I need it but I left it out as the wife likes to look through the sun roof.

Today, I tackled the inline thermostat mod. Before just idling in my driveway TorquePro would show my temps fluctuate from 198.x to 207.x. Normal driving showed it to be 202.x to 209.x. While I was at the offroad park in Low Range and going slow the temperature range was 208.x to 217.x. That all seemed a little high for my liking. After the mod in the driveway it stays at 179.x to 188.x. You can actually watch the thermostat open at 188 degrees in TorquePro. Hopefully this will prolong the overheating/head gasket issue these all have.

swapped my ARB bumper for an old original RTE fab bumper on the white one. It needs to be stripped and powder coated or painted but I'll no longer be a bulldozer on the trail...very pleased. It may end up on the classic when it's all said and done but we'll see.

Painted my wheels yesterday. I couldn't decide what color, but I'm glad I stuck with my trusty black. I think my last 5 or 6 trucks/SUVs have had black wheels besides one that spent more time in my garage than on the road. The spare is next when I find a single 265/70/18 tire.
