Removed fan to get at the camshaft sensor fan is cracked, ordered a new one.
Started up after exhaust gasket repair at the y pipe to a manifold sounds like I have a cracked cat or pipe right side, the sound is only on load and never goes away going to a fun long week end
Still have a P0444 - need to swap the purge valve and check vacuum

Installed a TF adjustable panhard bar to correct my thrust angle. Truck drives much better now but still a bit twitchy. Going to adjust the toe to see if I can counteract some of the twichiness from only have about 1.2 degrees of caster. Otherwise, I guess I'll look into some caster correcting arms to get the caster back to a more sane spec.

On the bright side, my tires don't rub my fender liners at lock and more and my turning circle is back to being even. Also on the hunt for an ARB bumper if anyone has any leads in the sfbay area. I found one guy in sac that has one but he wants 1k for the bumper and they're around 1250 shipped from Lucky8.

Hi Harv. It’s nice to know someone from BC. I live in Ladysmith on Vancouver Island. I had a very reliable 2001 D2 before it got sideswiped and written off. I am now in a 97 D1.

I'm so grateful to see someone spell "caster" correctly.

FWIW, I had an ARB on my truck and ended up getting rid of it. Nice looking, but it kills the approach angle. I'm very happy with a lower-profile winch bumper. I now have a Terrafirma, although I had some fits installing it.

Drove my Land Rover down to Vision Express for a much needed eye exam and new frames…

and bought the Land Rover brand “Miller” frames!

Ahh that's good to know. I was also considering getting a D1 ARB bumper since I read those have a better approach angle compared to the D2s. They're comparable in price to the D2 bumpers when I look at the D1 SRS variant through a distributor like Turn14. I really like the look of the ARB bumpers but there's plenty of others that look great too.

Fixed my P0444 code tiny broke wire right at the connector solder and electrical tape, temp crappy repair until I source a connector.
Exhaust was the standard break just below the Y pipe flange passenger side, trying exhaust putty and exhaust tape as fix, unit I have time to drop it and get welded.

But the Disco is quietish and no codes.

04 is nearing it's first official oil change, since rebuild break-in change (which was shortly after rebuild). Pulled the stick, after 5K, and right on the full mark.

Was meeting up with a couple retires for breakfast the other day, new tech and myself. We're heading out to the company vehicle to leave and l walk past it, and head towards the Dll. Asked if he minded, since l wanted to smoke in route, company vehicle no-no, and he said no problem...he'd never ridden in a LR before. He was actually quite impressed.

Hope l didn't plant some sort of Land Rover seed and his life is ruined forever...lol.

In other scenarios that's called grooming.
