Disaster averted...wife complained about a new noise on her 03, clicking sound while backing. Sounded pretty ugly, first thought...crud...front driveshaft cardan joint. But, knew it was fine a 1K miles ago, when l droped it to lube.

Anyhow, stuck my head underneath and see rub marks on rear driveshaft...muffler heat shield came loose and caused the noise.

Hurray! Love simple repairs!

Got ahead of the bad guys; Removed stock cats, installed hi-flow cats from a parts truck. Which may or may not be hollow, not sure, but put extensions on downstream o2's just in case. Now, if someone decides that they want to crawl under my truck for the cats, their time and effort will not be well-spent. Ha. Ha. And now I have a little more giddy-up too!

Low tone horn died on me and finally got around to installing some Hella Supertones as replacement. 50% the price of the single low tone and probably just as loud or moreso.

Installed Extinct’s inline thermostat kit in Chloe. Dropped the other kit at the shop to be installed on Clarkson during the engine swap.

Installed front fender, wife planted her Dll in the ditch back in Dec. found a bumper locally, but fender was slightly smashed. Bought a fender from "me 2", color match was pretty darn nice and satisfactory, for sure.

Now, the right side of vehicle is a SE and left is still a HSE.

I fixed my rear door latch. It was not fully latching due to a misaligned door latch. I also adjusted my driver's side door handle rod to door lock. It had fallen out of adjustment and you would have to push down while simultaneously pulling the door handle if you wanted it to open. I also dug into the rear wiper motor as it has only worked on the trip home from the seller's place. I suspect an electrical fault but ran out of time to really get into it—overall, a decent day in Rovervile.

Doing a little paid work for a guy. A bit of frame patching before the rust gets too bad. Also wire brushing the whole frame and painting with Rust-Oleum oil base, among other things.

Scored this ARB, winch, and light setup today from FB Marketplace. Had to hike out to Sac to get it but it was a good deal for everything and the seller was pretty chill to hold onto it for me for about a week before I could make the trek out. Bumper was a bit longer than I expected but still managed to get it into the back of the disco with some creativity. I was working solo today so I didn't get a chance to install it yet but I managed to get it unloaded and stored at the shop until I can get some help putting it on.
