I’ve always wanted this for my Disco….
Received a free charged 2kg fire extinguisher from a local fire safety company just for asking if they had any extras in their work truck.
Score!
Finally got my new alternator in -it as been in the garage for 5 months waiting on a warm dry day. And swapped thermostats in my inline housing, the disco ran a bit hot on up hills and I suspected the thermostat cycled slow. The new one is much better.
Fixed the broken coin tray, and added a usb phone charger cable. I have been pondering a discreet way to run power and stumbled upon the idea. I posted photos on another thread if interested.
No pics again. I replaced the rear bags and air compressor ("preventative"), and the best bit of all, drove my friend down to San Diego to pick up his first land rover, a 2007 LR3 HSE.
getting the white disco prepped for a camping season I'm not sure the motor is going to survive through...replaced a worn t-case mount, in the process of moving the winch into the new to me bumper and wiring up some roof lights (not my favorite location for lights but the rack was begging for something to be put there..). Picking up a rebuilt tom woods front shaft tomorrow as well. Have a trip in two weeks to go down to Sand dunes NP or whatever it's called and hoping the rain quits so I can finish up the disco for a quick shake down this Saturday.
Control box will need to be rewired as winch was previously mounted upside down in an ARB bumper. Little bit of trimming coming up Bonus big girls shot. Not many rovers make my classic look small but 37in treps will do it.
Living the dream @whowa004 ! The temption to get a classic rover is strong (mainly a 110 with pop top conversion) but I don't think I can let go of my classic 911 to do it. There's not enough space and freetime to take care of both I don't think.
