If I remember correctly a LR4 and/or a Freelander 2 washer nozzle fits a D. It’s heated so you can solder in a connector from the heated windscreen connector.

I can confirm BMW E36 nozzles also fit and are significantly cheaper.

Ever since I brought home the 04 the wife has wanted one and I am happy to say that yesterday I flew up to Oakland CA to pick up her truck and drive it back. We now have his and hers Discos.

The dorman nozzles worked, thank you! I am very not proud of my relocation of washer bottle. I am absolutely not a fabricator haha

Drove it about 30 miles today, feels so good to have it back on road!

Had some scares when I started it, didn't realize one of the coils had become unplugged so I was missing on 4 cylinders. Smoked it first, then thought I might have mixed up the wires since I had it on and off so much to make THAT relocation work. Then traced it back to the plug. Whew!

I'm sucking in air into the coolant. I think I know what it is as I see some slight drooling.

Figured out the oil light at start up. One of the oil filter housing pipes needed to be tightened a little bit more. Since I have everything clean and dry, tiny leaks are super easy to see!

Installed the 2 extinct sightglasses, I love the transmission one so much, especially after not liking the prices for the d1 pan and stick I found.

Got the new booster and master installed and bled.

Power steering is being a pain. Replaced the power steering pump, cooler, pressure and return lines due to leaking and rust. Bled it in air, then using bleeder, then again with wheels on ground. But either new pump is bad or I'm missing something. So will look into that now.

Have been slowly coating frame and other under parts with rust encapsulation. It's a long slow job but relaxing.

This roof rack situation has been a nightmare so for the trip next week, using an Amazon special.

Added some dorky lights so the kids can have their purple on the outside as well as inside.

Need to practice using the CDL shifter. I don't want the first time to be in the sand 500 miles from home haha.

Any pointers on that?

Next on my punch list is clean it up and make sure the interior will pass my kids and partner's inspection haha.

One interesting thing of note, I finally ordered and installed my spare tire. At first I thought my poor old Chinese tire machine was broken as the shovel was struggling hard to break the bead.

THEN I SAW IT WAS A RUN FLAT! 🤣 Luckily me and this machine have a good relationship and was able to get it off with lube and big sticks (I have no arm strength haha). I did scratch some of the previous owner's black spray paint off the wheel a bit, oops!

After having no light behind the climate control, I decided to fix it with extortionately expensive LR bulbs! I guess I could have gone down the LED route, but decided on the Atlantic British kit instead. The head came out more easily than expected with two butter knives to press in the tabs - A quick unhook of the connectors and it took all of 5 minutes to replace the bulbs! No problem re-hooking everything up and slotting back in.

How is that China bumper? Fitment? Strenght? I am hesitant to pay $1,500 for an ARB or $1,100 for a Goliath (including shipping and powder coating). I am not a heavy off-roader, just want to replace my cracked OEM bumper, maybe I install a winch later.

I installed a "widdle wadder" to Clarkson. I used rivet nuts instead of the silly screws they send. I've already used it to get up and down off the roof several times yesterday,. its a needed addition to this build.

@Discorama

Not sure yet, we are going to have to hit some things.
These were on when we got it, there is a strong chance we will upgrade to goliath at some point. We were already planning a build until we found this one and we wanted it as it has the adventure/king ranch/ indianna jones interior. (swapped in from donor).
The rear has the incorrect angle issue on the sides. The front is a thinner metal that other brands.
To be frank until they hit something or make contact under load I think of them as "pretty" and "sacraficial" parts. I have no faith in the steel manufactured in some regions of the world.

Passed NJ emissions inspection! All monitors were ready, no pending!

Resealed my old power steering pump and installed and bled it, have power steering again! New pump was trash I guess

I think I got the coolant issue figured out and sealed finally.

Parts trickling in slowly for front end. Doing tie rods, ball joints and drag link. I don't think the heads on my alignment machine can 'see' around the tires. It's an older hunter. Might have to reinstall the old tires for alignment ughh.

Next is an exhaust rattle that's been driving me insane.

Also ordered new single piece lug nuts. The ones on here are similar to the ford and Chrysler devil lug nuts.and are separating.
