It wasn't today but recently I fixed my leaky sunroofs. And built a rear bumper.

So, uh, you eliminated the sunroofs?

my daily driver 2004 developed a misfire on cylinder six and after while cylinder one, but only after rain. checked my notes and saw this had happened once before back in 2019 and 72,000 miles ago. i was planning on replacing the coils, plug wires, and plugs myself, but the continued rain and work load made that untenable.
so, it went to my local indie shop who replaced the coils, plug wires, and plugs. and, while in there did the valve cover gaskets.
also, refreshed front and rear differentials, transfer case, and transmission fluids.
replaced the leaking steering box with a new remann'ed unit and all the old hoses.

while it was in the shop i had been driving my wife's 2011 LR4. great SUV and fun to drive. but, doesn't really do it for me the way the D2 does. glad to have it back and be back behind the wheel.

Can't leak if they don't exist

Picked this one up for the wife for $500. Had a few minor things to fix, but overall cannot complain. Replaced front driveshaft, swapped the tires, oil change, fixed one wiper arm, welded the exhaust back that had cracked at the manifold. Have a 2" lift and inline thermostat kit on the way. Will probably convert to electric fan. Overall the little thing runs pretty good. She drove it 3 hr home and then we drove it 5 hr each way to a buddies wedding.

I present, "Strawberry".

Default Mounted the high lift

Made up some mounting posts from the hardware store. Came out pretty good. No rattles.

My '02 DII SE7 is currently back in my local shop to repair the steering pump. They had replaced it once already but that unit HOWLED like a supercharger. They got another replacement and we'll see how that goes.

I'd just invested spent big bucks to have the V8 machined and re-built, so the ancillaries seem to be failing with all this renewed "power" coming from it lol

3d printed a few goodies for "Strawberry" - cup holder inserts, visor clips, center caps. PVC mod, original baffle was surprisingly clean. Replaced the battery terminals with marine style and soldered on eyelets. Pictured is the terminal that was on the positive cable. Trimmed the front bumper.

Lift pucks came in, will get those in when I get back in town as well as new MAF and O2 sensors. Should have also ordered a purge valve - Will get one of those on order as well. In line thermostat will be in today - will try to get that installed in the next couple days before I leave so the wife can keep driving it without worry.

She's getting whipped into shape fairly quickly.

Edit: went ahead and got "the devil" replaced this afternoon.

Replaced right hand side Y pipe to manifold exhaust gasket, the old one was in 4 pieces. Now I can hear the SAI pump, but no more exhaust tick, just have to find my oil leak.

I've been working on it a few weeks now, but I finally got my 03 disco back on the road today after swapping out my transmission and transfer case with Ashcroft rebuilt units.
The old transmission had a bad sprag clutch and the transfer case was causing a loud bang sound on tight slow turns and was shedding metal inside like crazy.
New transfer case has HD input and output shafts, ATB, and CDL, so a pretty nice upgrade all around.

I also put in an HD Ashcroft flex plate, originally it was just going to be preventative measure but I'm glad I ordered it because this is what my stock flex plate looked like when I opened everything up:

Cracked flex plate

Don't know if that's how the cracks on these normally form, but its pretty wild to me that it had cracked all the way around into two pieces, and was only working because the inner piece got wedged into the outer piece like that.
