I got an air grease gun. It makes greasing the drive shafts so much easier. The grease is pushed through in pulses with high pressure which results in faster and better greasing. With the hand grease gun I had to pump forever until grease came out at all four needle bearings.
I installed the beefy track rod and drag link from Terrafirma and an OME steering damper. Checked the steering alignment. The steering wheel needed some centering but the toe didn't need any adjustment.
@mollusc The idea is to measure the distance between two bars attached to the front wheels. I used the caliper to make sure that the bars are correctly aligned with the rims and not something else. The pictures don't show the complete setup and measurement of distance of the two bars at the ends. I should have taken more pictures of that to make that clear.
You would have thought they would have learned their lesson the first time but they didn't and they put the same style thermostat on the new 5 l engine
