My disco 1 94' has been making some souns lately...when I turn the wheel hard while driving slowly the right fron tire make a sort ofclicking sound but when i return the whell the sound goes away. Also, I havebeen going over ALOT of speedbumps lately and have been noticing that the shocks make a shhh sound like they could be lubed possibly.One more thing...When i drive at high speeds there is a whine that develops from about forty on, could it ossibly have somethingto do with the u-joints?? Dan, go check and add fluid to your Swivel housings and see if this works, if not, you will most likely need to rebuild the right swivek and CV joint.
If the noise goes away you might consider switching to Rovers new grease pouches instead of gear oil, protects longer and less chance of leakage.

where do i add fluid to the swivel housings?? can i use regular oil?

 

Go look at the swivel joints, you will see to plugs, open the top plug and if np oil comes out fill it with 80/90W gear oil.
