interesting. Does it not have vacuum ports? I thought the evap just connected to manifold vacuum, but I don't recall. From what I've read about guys that have taken the evap out it can cause gas fumes if the evap line is open and hard/ or slow to fill tank with it capped, or the need to use a vented cap. Sounds like you might want it even if you don't need it for emissions.

After my limited research, I was willing to put retaining the evap pretty high on my priority list.

In my opinion it should be done. Easy to hook up - you just follow the ACE purge valve manual and get the one adapter piece from Novak. I think you end up getting better gas mileage because it burns the fumes from there when you have your foot off the gas.

Engines in! Wasn't too bad at all. My motor sits very even compared to everyone else. I loosed all trans and engine mounts before dropping it in

Almost at the finish line. Relocating the battery to the driver side.

Battery relocated to the driver side. I'm using zero gauge wire to run to a junction box on the passenger side right above the intake.

I just need to install an electric fan, fab up the exhaust and run the GM wiring and it's ready to fire up

Very clean. I've been looking at mine wand thinking something similar would work nicely. I'll be watching your build very closely. Which electric fan setup are you thinking of using?

Thanks. I bought a derale dual fan setup that captainaaron suggested but after receiving it I realized it just won't work with my setup. I'm using a forward outlet waterpump so that theres room to run the intake to the passenger side. That interferes with the fan setup. I'm going to try a slim 16" spal curved fan setup. If the temps aren't great I'm going to add a summit racing alum shroud that I saw.

16" spal curved fan is in. I plan on having the ECU trigger it along with whenever the a/c fan turns on. I will keep a close eye on temperatures and see how it does without a shroud.

You might have the cleanest engine bay i've seen thus far! Really like the look after swapping the battery and air intake.
Can you walk us through some of the extra bits that you chose to go with? seems like you have an aftermarket intake manifold? I think I see a catch can over on the passengers side as well.
