Alright
Picked up a differential from a wrecker in Cali $500 shipped!
Picked up the full Pro Line Rear Brake set up from Rovers North $500 shipped! Very good customer service there, one of the best i've delt with

going to go to the auto store pretty soon to pick up all the fluids, and i'm going to do a tune up at the same time.

mother effer didn't even have the retaining screws on the rear rotors i just pulled off >< probably none on the front rotors either!

anyways one of the guiding pins on the driver side is rusted in, i think that would explain why there are unusual scoring marks on the rotor. gotta pick up a new caliper bracket and retaining screws. ahh atleast i'm still waiting for my differential to come in. It should be in by next week so i should have this brake system done before it comes in.

If you guys look at the pics of when i pulled my differential out. you can see the pin that was the culprit for letting my whole differential go loose. anyways when i get this new diff i am going to either jb weld or spot weld the pin in so that it doesn't fall out again. Anyone know if the jb weld will get eatin' up by the differential oil?

stupid guide pin is rusted in the caliper bracket

alright well i found out that you don't need the retaining screws, they were just for factory assembly purposes.

anyway got my diff today! woo! and i just spot welded the retaining pins in, if i ever need to change them out i just gotta drill the welds off. tomorrow my caliper bracket should come in and the rover will be running!

Hey everyone, got a 1998 RR 4.0 a few weeks ago just started hearing a slight friction noise coming from rear of rangie. could not pinpoint problem. tranny feels and runs great. everything feels normal, but now the noise has gotten and louder and i dont want to drive anymore like this.

looked under rangie and nothing seems loose, it feels like something in the rear tires or axle. Any insight would be apreciated, thank you

hey bro what i would. is try putting the rr in 2 wd jack up the rear, then put it in drive. then you can observe what's going on in the rear end while it's moving and operational. make sure safety first! can't stress that enough.

Have you checked your differential oil yet? It might be low, or time for a change.
