Default Dead battery

I went to use my RRS today which hasn't been used for 3-4 weeks, hmmm, sh!te, dead battery. It started to crank then the dreaded clicking. No surprise though with all the electronics, clock, intruder alarms etc, etc all connected as a slow drain. Switched with the D2 battery and bingo it started first time. I've got the battery on charge overnight and hopefully it isn't toast but we'll see tomorrow. it is 6 years old and I've the sinking feeling the wallet will be taking a hit very soon.

RangeRovers.net has tons of info. Here's a good place to start on testing your battery. **INFO** Electrical Troubleshooting

It's for P38 but the same principals apply.

Hi

Thanks for your info. I have a tester and checked out the battery for max amps and volts, recharged it overnight and all is tickety boo again now. The charge held up OK and so put it on an Optimate for 24 hours to finish and desulphate if necessary . All's well that ends well so my wallet stays in my pocket.
