Wow, thanks for the reply. Didnt know there were so many common issues with RRs. Guess ill look around at Jeeps a little more then. Thanks,

you change the oil every 15k with pure synthetic mobil 1.

And no head gaskets dont go in those. They leak coolant from radiators, hoses, tanks, Intake valley pan gaskets go, pcv hoses blow off and 1000 dollar alternators go eating up a very expensive battery.

Thats not including the tires that chop, the various suspension parts that can go or the 1200 dollar frt air bags that leak.

Oh and the stuff likes to seize up and its a bear to get out.

and thats just the outside.

Inside well stuff aint cheap and the stuff that does go usually requires a trip to the dealer and dealer parts only.
My '03 just started to leak coolant 2 days ago, the dreaded "check coolant level..." It has 73k miles, the 60k maintenance was performed. It drips like a leaky faucet if the engine is running, but when the engine is off it doesn't leak. Does that narrow down the possibilities of what the problem could be??? I can't get anywhere to have it looked at til next week...

no, you have to look at it to see a leak, where does the coolant drip out at? front or back?
