Under dach lever operates but hood does not pop up.

Front center hood lever will not release.

Any suggestions?

 

Try getting to the hood release cable thru the grille with a pair of pliars or take it to the shop and get a new cable installed.

 

there are two hood latches left and right.

 

i have the same problem with my disco1, i was told its just buildup of crud in the cable housing, and possibly the tension of the release spring has been compromised

 

Same problem on my Blazer. Just WD 40 the latch mechanism and let it soak for a good few minutes. Then try and pop it again and fiddle with the latch. If all that doesn't work, take Disco Mikes advice, and get a shop to put in a new linkage.
