Default ABS Pump Seized-belt mod

Ran into some trouble with the New to me 2000 Disco.

ABS pump siezed, and couldn't use the original serpentine belt.

Unbolted the ABS pump and tied it back using zip ties to the engine 'eye'lift.

After many changes of belt at a local auto parts place, I found the size belt to get me home.

93.5 inches 7 rib will work. Hope some else finds this useful, took me 5 belt changes till I found the correct size

ABS pump? I am trying to imagine which pump you are talking about. Is this the pump above the power steering pump, and next to the A/C compressor?

Dooh, downloaded the manual today. It is actually the ACE pump. I seen it connected to the Brake resivoir and assumed it had something directly to do with the operation with the brakes.

I am hoping that I can operate the Disco with this disconnected
