AC Switch wont stay lit, AC not cold
Might be a something as simple as the AC needs to be recharged but what about the switch?
The AC in the Green Machine doesn't blow cold (never did since I have owned it the last Three months) and the light doesn't come on on the switch. Strangely enough though if you push a little harder the light does come on but you have to hold it for it to stay on and the AC still doesn't blow cold.
I've checked the fuse and it's good. The car fans and blowers (front and rear) appear to be working and the heat worked last I used it in April. Now I could use the AC, any suggestions as always appreciated.

IF AC compressor does not come on, it could be low refrigerant. You can buy a boost can of R134a with a gauge at the parts store, and add it according to directions. If that does not fix it, then time for a pro shop to take a look with gauges, etc.
A quick update on this. I purchased the refrigerant kit with gauge and connected as instructed and proceeded to fill with 1 can. No change, no cold air in rear or front (rear AC light is the only switch that lights up - main AC light not lit). Came back to truck 20 minutes later and heard hissing from above and behind the rear driver-side wheel, my guess, refrigerant leaking out....No AC but at least the front passenger window motor cracked so now I have constant fresh air.....
With the system open to air, you'll need to repair leaks, replace the drier (dead center of grille), vacuum the system down and hold that to cook off any moisture left behind, then add oil and refrigerant as needed. Isn't summer about over in BC?
Haha, yup, so I'll be able to put the AC issue on hold for another season and turn my attention to the passenger window motor instead...oh, and the stuck CDL..and the failing alternator..and so on...
