Hi Guys,

I need some help figuring out what engine is in my 99 Disco 2. It has clearly been out and/or changed at some point in the trucks' life. I have looked everywhere and cannot find any info on the prefix that is stamped in the deck of my block. I would be grateful if someone could tell me what it is.

Here is the block number: 688D01310A

I did not find the 688 designation either, but I have an external HG leak right above the "D" on mine...

 

Call a Rover service manager, not a service writer and he can clear things up for you.

 

I will drop by the Rover Service department sometime this week and see if they can help me out.
