Well that is great news, like I said previously I'll be pre-emptively changing mine. My control arms have been replaced by a previous owner and just recently replaced the brake light switch with the genuine Motorcraft one so should be good for the next 25,000 km or so...

I just had a similar thing happen as it did to the OP: Christmas tree on the instrument panel (before it went completely dark...) Transmission fault indications... then it just died. After I took it to a shop and they pronounced it fine - good charging system, good battery no codes that pointed to anything in particular - I monitored the battery voltage using my IIDTool on the freeway home and watched the voltage stay true at 13.9 for over two hours, then it died (with the instrument panel going dark again) and I noticed the voltage read 7.9v. By the time I got a friend to jump me the battery read 11.8 and it started right up, showed 13.9 again and then died a few blocks later.
I took the battery in to be tested thinking some cells were shorting out and it tested fine. Before it died I ran a fault test and got thisL319 - LR3 2006

I hate to sound like a broken record, but you have so many electrical faults it's a wonder your machine ever ran. If those were all true, you'd be in really big trouble, so first start at your battery and start going back, investigating the grounding and power electrical connections with the battery disconnected of course. If your alternator and battery are OK and charging properly, then start looking at other basic electrical connections, especially the ones that can get exposed to water, that's just my first basic suggestion, others may have more thoughts...
