I broke the key for my discovery 99 and I want it replaced. Except since the alarm is activated every time I try to open the door the alarm goes off can I go to the dealer with just my VIN or is there another way to get another key programmed without the original?

 

I would assume you could pull the driver door handle and bring it to a decent locksmith to have a key made.
