Default oil change for my LR2 at a Ford dealer?

My wife drives a 2008 LR2 that is still under warranty. We moved from Boston to the Midwest where there are no land rover dealers for 120 miles or so. Would you guys say tis safe to bring it to a Ford dealer to get the oil changed?
I am thinking ford because they seem to be the closest related manufacturer. Maybe Volvo?

Wow, nobody has a similar experience? I would think that a bunch of you guys living in rural places would have something to say. Anyways, in case any one is wondering, I emailed the svc mgr at the local Ford dealer and he was welcoming in his reply. He said he could take care of all the small stuff for me, including oil changes.

You don't have to have your oil changed at a dealer (any sort of dealer). On the other hand, if you don't mind paying premium prices, there's no reason not to either.

Just because Ford used to own LR does NOT mean the Ford dealer knows anything about your truck, because they dont.

Just take it to Jiffy Lube.

take it to Jiffy lube and watch them forget to put oil in it.

actually a Volvo dealership is the same engine and transmission wise. A physical problem they can take care of an electrical issue no.

but if you feel confident in the ford dealership for regular maintenance buy the filters from land rover or Volvo. The engine is the same as an XC60.

No way on jiffy lube haha!
I worked there when I was in high school and I can't even begin to tell you how many screw-ups I saw there. Stuff that would make you mad. Anyhow like someone said, Volvo is a better idea than Ford. THanks for the replies!

do it yourself. An oil change is easy. you can do it cheaper and you can get to know your truck a wee bit better. It takes 20 minutes if it goes bad and about 5 if it goes well.
