Hey been lurking for a while and this is my first post and it's a tech question.

I have a 2000 Disco II and my check engine light came on and with all the cold weather we are having every time I start the Disco the Sport mode light and Manual mode light flash until the car warms up and then I have to shut the engine off and restart for those to go away. Also when those lights are flashing the car only goes into Drive and Reverse when I put it in any other gear it just flashes the Drive light.

Any ideas of what this could be? Hopefully just a sensor I can replace or something.

 

Just now I believe I am having the same problem. Flashing S and M lights. I go to drive and my drive light flashes and doesnt fully drive. Going to go back out and try it again. Any ideas of what the problem may be.
