OK here we go.... I guess the reason I question it is the fact that I still have the flashing alarm led with the FOB engaged. Does the immoblizer give the same symptoms? I am searching for this specific symptom but...
You need to clear all codes, then see what comes up when you turn the ignition off and back on again. Many of these have nothing to do with starting. But it does look like your start module gave up the ghost.
Hello... So after clearing the codes and cycling the key. Everything went away except for the steering column lock. I do remember it being odd noticing that the column wasnt locking in place without the key fob after this happened. Anyway Ill post the DTC as well.
Steering Column Lock - not activated
Request to enable the steering column lock supply not approved
Check LIN (Local Interconnect Network) circuit between steering column lock and CJB
I still think the module has given up the ghost.
Hello.... So the Column lock Module or the Start Module from yesterdays errors. Im going to do more reading tonight hopefully. Maybe find some more info. I just want to get it right. LOL Again thank you so very much for your assistance. Ill keep you posted. Tuesday PM: So after clearing all DTC's again. I removed the lower half of the column cover and tapped a few times on the steering lock module. The instant I inserted the Fob in the dash I knew something had changed. The relays talking back and fourth wasnt the same. Only one click on each side of the dash and NOT the double series that it was doing after the no start showed up. I hit the start button and started like it should. My starter rebuild sure does sound nice! Rescanned and no more errors. Now I am thinking on a emulator instead of replacing the steering lock/module.
