Alarm sounding for no reason

As you probably know the tinfoil was there to disable the faulty connector but I guess that failed over time.
While the hood switch is pointed out as the culprit many times on this and other forums, it is not always the case.
First thing I did was circumvent the switch by using a spade clip to bridge the pins (more secure than tinfoil). Unfortunately that did not solve the problem.
An LR mechanic used his 6 million dollar code reader to establish that it was the passenger door lock actuator. I went and bought a used door and installed it but the problem persisted.
Back to the mechanic who then stated it was the ignition key sensor so I got him to replace it. Still goes off although less frequently and I will be taking the car back to him for further readings. I cannot find anything on my Gap tool that relates to the alarm.
All this to say there can be multiple reasons for this.
Also hoping for help here.
