I'm actually in blissful zen mode right now. Motor is on the stand, trans and t case are packed away, I feel great.

Just need to strip the rest of the vehicle and start working on a tranny rebuild on my high mileage 05'.

Looking back it wasn't so bad, just new to me.

Anybody know how to remove the front axles? Maybe that is a new thread...

Yes, I have the hubs off, how do I pull out of the diff pumpkin?

I guess I should elaborate. I have the driver side hub off, but I can't pull the half shaft out of the pumpkin. Do I need to just pry it out at the junction?

I see the pass side has some bolts before the pumpkin, so I am guessing if I undo those I will get it to pull out.

To remove the half shafts, get a 2x4 (or equivalent piece of wood) and place it as best you can to hammer it outward from the diff. Be careful of the sheet metal debris shield right as the half shaft goes into the diff - don't hammer on that. For the driver's side, you are probably going to have to remove the bolted-on cross member that is right under the diff to get a better angle for the 2x4. Then smack the 2x4 with a hammer and drive the half shaft out
