Default Land Rover Discovery 3 One headlight not working

Hello,
Posting on behalf of my dad who owns a Land Rover Discovery 3 SE, 2005. Current problem is that the drivers side, dipped beam headlight isn't working. Main beam, sidelight and indicator all work and if i plug the headlight into the passenger side everything works fine, i've checked all fuses, changed some just in case but it's still not working. Any ideas?

They are Bi-Xenon and yes i've tried new bulbs just in case.

Check for corrosion at the back of the bulb connector.

From what I have read, the lamps themselves last a long time. Until I changed mine a couple months ago, they appeared to still be factory at 110k miles. The date codes were from 2006! And they both still worked fine, I changed for maintenance sake. However, the ballasts seem to fail more often than the lamps. So there is the possibility that the ballast has gone bad. Aftermarket ones are inexpensive and the inexpensive "Phillips" are often cheap copies. So, beware.
