Default LR Disco 3 V8 HSE Starting after long shutdown

My beloved disco been sitting for a couple of months without running or starting it. Tried to start it yesterday but no luck. I am certainly not a mechanic but can find my way around the mechanics without killing myself

1. Just swinging the starter wouldn't get life into her, no start, swinging fine, even had a booster jump start box on her to make sure it is not a weak battery.
2. Spraying some quick start spray into the air inlet get's her to start and even idle while the spray is introduced constantly, Stop spraying and she'll die.
3. I can hear the petrol pump going when it turn the ignition.
4. She's got enough fuel

To me it appear that it may be a case she is not getting fuel to the engine?
1. Is there a quick and dirty way for me to check it fuel is getting to the engine, I don't really want to start to disassemble all of the engine covers and bits going on a wild goose chase to find a fuel hose, so I would appreciate some advice here.
2. I am also concerned that the fuel pump maybe rusted and spinning but not actually doing anything, what is the likelihood of that??

Any help appreciated guys, taking it to the shop will cost me an arms and a leg so I want to avoid that as much as possible.

Thank you
Barnard

If it's been sitting for that long perhaps the fuel itself is bad....

if its an 05' there is a schrader valve on the fuel rail. If after 05' only way to check for pressure is by removing connector at rear of fuel rail on driver side and adding an inline fuel pressure gauge,

You will need a fuel line connector tool to release it.
