Default LR3 Transmission Fault Code

I have a 2005 LR3 with 119,000 miles. It drives great for 30-40 minutes then goes into Transmission Fault mode when lightly pressing on the gas(under 2000 RPM's ) If I accelerate rapidly, no problem, it goes through all the gears smoothly. I have also had all the lights on the dash go on on longer drives. I have changed the filter and fluid recently.

Could be low on fluid especially if not topped up whilst engine running, alternator/battery not charging properly

I had a shop make sure to top off the Fluid. The shop also got a couple codes. One was the brake light switch, the other was a transmission code regarding gear ratio (he had never seen it before) They also replaced the battery. Could a alternator that is going bad still charge the battery but not produce the proper amps cause electrical issues? I do feel its an electrical issue. Also, how about the trans solenoids? Thank you very much for the help. I appreciate it.

I would still get the fluid checked. The brake switch gives all sorts of problems and is cheap to purchase so would change that as well.

Failing seals on the valve body and shift solenoids can cause the " incorrect gear ratio " trans error.

Does that mean a transmission rebuild? Or can you replace parts while the trans is in place?

You can purchase seal and solenoid kits to rebuild it. If you have a hoist you can remove the necessary bits (valve body) but there are a few "gotcha's" when putting it back in. Most people would possibly add a new "mechtronics" bit as well.
