New to me LR3 stuck between high and low
Ooff topic...What's the mount for that's under the lid of the center console? Lol
I am pretty sure there is not since it is a variable motor type and not simply on/off. Pretty sure it is direct wire to the ECU. I have never heard of a motor going bad, I am sure they can tho. Usually the gear strips. You can remove the motor to inspect the gear. If that reader you bought is like the GAP tool, you can rear the positions of the various transfer case bits which can sometimes hint to the issue.
Related story. I had an issue with my transfer case. It would not shift right and sometimes drop into low which caused a hell of an issue when on paved roads and going into a turn. In my case, I cause the issue by using stop leak on the transfer case. It swelled an o-ring that acts as a "clamp" on the solenoid hate seal. The o-ring went around that and prevents fluid from entering. But the leak stop swelled it and then fluid got into my solenoid and caused issues. Just bringing it up incase someone put stop leak in that case. The output seals like to leak. I have a whole new case to put in at some point.
