Default Reverse Mirror Dip

Just wondering if reverse mirror dip only works in certain modes or if it should work whenever I go in reverse. It is turned on in settings and the adjustment **** is switched to the left; but the mirror does not change at all when I am in reverse..any ideas?

Thanks-

you need to have memory seats, first off, past that, there is a chance you will need to program it, to do this go into reverse, set the mirror where you want it to point, when dipped, and hold the memory button for 3 seconds, display will say stored after a chime

Really? I don't have memory seats, that's wierd they would allow it to be turned on or off in the settings if it isn't even an option. I have an '05 SE?..Thanks for the info.

yeah, all of the i/p are the same, so it has the option to change it in your configuration file, even if you car doesnt have what the option to be configured. one of the down sides to having 20 plus different and mostly independant computers in a car

Is there a way to simply override the feature?

I don't have an HSE with this, but in my BMW you just select the passinger mirror on the switch to adjust them and keep it on theat side for default. If it's on the pass. side, the mirror doesn't dip. give it a try.
