Suspension clunk
After removing the struts and inspecting the bushing it was ok. There were no cracks just bent at that angle giving the illusion of a crack. I removed the upper control arm and found them to be gone, couldn't tell when installed. I replaced them with the polybush as well and all has been good with that. I just had to replace the rear wheel bearing last month after returning from trip to UT. That was a fun project and $150 bearing from LR.
Sway bar bushings are cheap and easy (except for one bolt that you need to get at from the engine bay), but I believe the main symptom for them going bad is vibration in steering wheel especially in turning (I could be wrong). I used to have that issue and then changed the bushings, completely forgot about the vibration ever happening.
Sway bar bushings make a "clunk" as well but it's different. It's more of a dull thud and happens at fairly low speeds over potholes or speed bumps that induce body roll, which makes sense. Hit a speed bump straight on...no clunk.
