Welding gloves do make this job easier. Still not exactly fun

 

Update:

Shop charged me $630 labor for the pan conversion and diff fluid changes with me supplying the AB conversion kit, valve body, and Fel Pro gasket and fluids. They charged an extra $375 because three of the original pan bolts snapped and had to be extracted (very rusty).

Used 8 quarts of fluid. Seems to be running fine. Crossing my fingers.
