Installed 32” Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac (255/65 19”) tyres and 1.5” lift Johnson Rods, all to check for body, frame clearances. No issues except for inner side inner fender cover tyre slightly rubbing at full lock, will just need to cut off a very small piece of the inner side fender plastic, otherwise no worries.

Now anyone know if a 32” tyre will fit in the spare tire well underneath?

Found the answer to my question:
“A 32.7" tire will fit. Lower the psi to 10 or so. You also have to remove the exhaust fairing (fiberglass looking fins) for the added size.”

Installed side steps / running boards. I found a used set at a salvage yard on Thursday. I picked them up yesterday and cleaned them up last night. Today, I installed them.

Default EBrake repair

Started out by thinking it would be a good idea to get my ebrake working again on the LR3. Typical grinding noise coming from the ebrake module when applying the ebrake switch.
Remove rear wheels and find the backing plate is rusted out and the nuts holding the cables are split and can't be reused. To get the backing plate off you need to knock out (destroy) the rear wheel bearings, so will need to replace them as well. Checking the brakes and see that one rear caliper is seizing up, pads are worn considerable more on one side then the other.
So what did get replaced?
New gear set inside the ebrake module
New backing plates
New cables. The emergency release cable is still good, so don't need to replace it
New wheel bearings
New calipers, pads and rotors
Ebrake now working as it should
A quote I say recently: LAND ROVER-MAKING OWNERS INTO MECHANICS SINCE 1959

ebrake module on the floor with the new cables ready to go in

New gears going into the module

New backing plate in place, ebrake shoes on and getting ready to install the new rotors, pads and calipers.

Nice work, I have to service my e-brake also. I plan on new cables. But FYI you can buy the backing plates as two-part. I dont think LR produces them, maybe Dorman does but I have seen them available. With that said this is the opportunity to replace the rear bearing anyway, they are not easy. So no loss in getting it ALL done in one go. I have new knuckles that I will bench build then install along with all new control arms.

I did the upper and lower control arms along with the air suspension and air compressor a couple of years ago, so should be good for suspension and brakes for awhile-here's hoping anyway.

Fixed the interior backlights for the cluster, radio and HVAC controls, hopefully fixed transmission error message in cluster, and started cleaning the interior. Also shorted my front ride height sensor links a little so the truck is close to level now.

Still need to fix the air suspension leak, hopefully a front valve block refresh will solve that then I need to see why the PDC isn't working.

Default More maintenance and repair

Replaced bushing on the rear suspension, had to replace rear differential, and have to replace the gasket in the Britpart steel tranny pan. Last independent left the new Britpart pan weeping. Unfortunately the gasket seems hard to find separately.

The paper gaskets suck, get the metal FelPro one. Has a nice bonded rubber seal.

I’ll have to give that a try. Thanks for that. I noticed that Britpart shows the tranny pan with a black gasket or the blue gasket. Don’t know the difference offhand.

Update: I had a look around on the Felpro site. No Landrover listed for parts for.
