If you do take off that inner fender liner, that's a good opportunity to clean up those ground wires and studs that are then accessible as well.

The only thing I would add is that I found it MUCH easier to get at the innermost bolt and the plug connector after taking off the large, inner splash guard. Getting that removed isn't too bad and does not require completely removing the wheel arch trim if you flex the splash guard as you pull it out.

Thanks for the suggestion. Can you point me toward something more specific? This is my first time working in that part of the engine bay so I don't know where all the critical ground spots are to clean up.
The ground lugs are very obvious when you take the passenger side fender liner off. One is underneath the battery tray area and the other is towards the front pretty near the alternator. In a post updated this week there were pics that show exactly what you need. If I'm able to find it I'll post a link.

Try putting some grease on the splines an locking clip, If that doesn't work try taking the locking clip off of the old axle and put it on the new one. More than once during my career as a BMW tech I ran into the issue of the new clip being not quite right and preventing the new CV axle from fitting. I also ran into that issue upgrading the axle shafts in my friends 80 series Land Cruiser where the new clips wouldn't fit into the knuckle joint, swapped the clips and they locked right in.
Interior rear upper hatch manual lever handle installed…twice
Installed a rear interior upper hatch manual release handle from Landrover passion.com.
Had a brain fart after installing it. While standing outside with the upper hatch open, lower closed. I was pulling the lever and wondering why the bottom tailgate wasn’t opening, took it all apart again until I realized that it releases the upper hatch. Freshly installed lever handle
Hauled one of the last loads of stuff from my old house to our new house today. Never pulled a trailer any sort of distance before this last week but the LR3 made it easy. Backing up is a little tough, and it doesn’t help that the street my new house is on isn’t wide enough for 2 cars to pass if there is one parked on the street. And to make it even more fun my driveway is only 7 feet wide.
