Do they have a combined strut like the disco or separate shock and airbag ?

It's all separate. Even the control arms are split (2 bars instead of the big Y). For each arm just gotta undo 1 bolt at the bushing and unbolt it from the ball joint and it falls out.

You can see the 2 arms in this picture

Pity the D3 struts aren't 2 piece, my airbags are good but the shocks are getting tired and its not economical to rebuild them.

Default Maintenance done

Came back from an off-road trip a couple a weeks ago in my D1 giving the LR3 a break. Upon driving my LR3 I noticed a bit unresponsive throttle, surging at idle, hesitant at acceleration, and finally a code popped up. From learning from Landroverforums that I needed to clean the throttle intake and especially clean the MAS/ MAF, with appropriate cleaner, which did. Now everything was quite clean before I started but noticed a small hair on the heated element of the MAS. Once everything cleaned, problem solved.

My cooling fan arrived today but unfortunately it looks like it was a rough ride.

Would you install or just send it back?

Damn... that is some might ****-poor packing. Where did you get it from? Frankly, I would send it back. I would worry about the bearings being shocked from impact resulting in premature failure. The fan is a critical part after all.

Yep, 0 bubble wrap or an cushioning in the box... I'm going to try returning. Noise/play from the bearing is the reason i'm replacing this in the first place, and I really don't want to find out what happens if one of these completely fail.

I ordered from carparts.com, I guess I get to find out how their customer service is. I think I might just splurge on OEM from AB for the replacement.

Yeah fk that. Request they put Fragile on the box wherever you get it from. Although I've a hilarious photo of a Box with Fragile tape that was obviously slammed at the bottom of the pile in the truck. But they then cannot deny they didn't know it was a fragile item. Then any problems and you can take it up with the carrier if needed. Gives them some more motivation to get it to you in one piece. It's typical of everything these days though. If the Item's not a dud the delivery will ensure it becomes one. Yay ClownWorld.
