I need to replace the cable that opens the door from the inside of a LR4. This is the cable that clips in to the back of the door card handle, runs thru a black rubber round grommet in the metal door, then attaches to the assembly that is hidden. I see the cables for sale. With the door card off, will I be able to install the end in to the assembly or will I need to remove the window? Im unsure about access. This is the part and cable I'm working on. The cable that needs replacing is the one with th round rubber grommet on it.
You will need to remove the window actuator but not the window. After the inside door panel is removed the big speaker needs to be removed so you can unclip the widow from its actuator.
Then you will need to remove the door latch actuator.
Here is a picture of how the cable you are replacing connects to the door latch actuator.
